Welcome to Lumi. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a peaceful, distraction-free experience. This Privacy Policy explains how Lumi handles your data.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you sign in using Google or Email, we store your user ID, name, email address, and profile photo via Supabase Authentication to sync your streaks, tasks, and settings across sessions.
• Planner & Session Data: Your focus session history, time-block tasks, streaks, and preferences are stored locally in an encrypted Room database and backed up to our secure Supabase database for your account.
• Diagnostic Information: We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor application crashes and stability. This collects non-identifiable technical data such as device model, OS version, and crash stack traces.
• Purchases: Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed securely through Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your credit card or financial information.

2. Android Permissions & Special Services

• Accessibility Service (Focus Shield):
  Lumi utilizes the Android AccessibilityService API strictly for its "Focus Shield" feature. When an active focus session is running, this service detects when an app on your blocked list is brought to the foreground and redirects you back to the Lumi focus lamp.
  Privacy Guarantee: The Accessibility Service DOES NOT collect, monitor, record, or transmit any sensitive user data, typed text, keystrokes, personal messages, screen contents, or browsing history.
• Notification Listener Service:
  Lumi uses NotificationListenerService solely to silence distraction notifications during an active focus session. We do not read, log, or transmit the contents of your notifications.
• Foreground Service:
  Lumi runs a foreground service (specialUse) during focus sessions to ensure the ambient lamp illumination stays awake and your focus timer runs continuously without being terminated by OS battery optimization.

3. Third-Party Services

Lumi utilizes trusted third-party providers strictly for core functionality:

• Supabase: Cloud authentication, database storage, and edge computing.
• Google Play Billing: In-app subscription processing.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Anonymous crash analytics.

We do NOT use third-party advertising SDKs, data brokers, or tracking cookies.

4. Data Retention & Deletion
